Nitya Arogya

Ayurvedic Wellness and Community Health

Health that begins long before the hospital does.

What this programme does

Nitya Arogya takes preventive health into neighbourhoods where a doctor is the last resort rather than the first. We organise community wellness camps with qualified practitioners, run awareness sessions on Ayurvedic and traditional practices for daily health, seasonal care and nutrition, and guide families towards the right medical care when a condition needs it. We are clear about our limits: this programme promotes preventive wellness and access, and we refer anyone who needs clinical treatment to a qualified medical practitioner.

Who it serves

Families in underserved neighbourhoods, women, children and senior citizens, and anyone for whom the cost or distance of care means they simply do without it.

How it is delivered

  • Community wellness and health awareness camps with qualified practitioners
  • Seasonal health and nutrition awareness sessions
  • Guidance and referral towards appropriate medical care
  • Coordination with local clinics, hospitals and public health programmes

How you can help

Rs.500 covers one person at a wellness camp. Rs.15,000 funds a full community camp. Doctors, Ayurvedic practitioners and nursing staff can volunteer a camp day.

These figures are provisional until the Foundation confirms its real per-beneficiary costs.
